When used correctly, i find chunkbase to be very reliable Upvote this comment if this is a good quality post that fits the purpose of r/minecraft downvote this comment if this post is poor quality or does not fit the purpose of r/minecraft downvote this comment and report the post if it breaks the rules If this is an existing world with chunks that have already been generated then that will skew the results as minecraft won't change existing chunks to add new structures
There's a caveat here in that biomes are 3d now and the world height changes added some nuance to that rule. Little back story, i’m on a bedrock realm with friends and we’re really struggling to find a skeleton spawner. So minecraft has this tool on chunkbase where you can input the world generation seed and it will locate rare stuff for you
It even shows where ore veins generate
Is there an equivalent for this game? Chunkbase even had diamond and ancient debris finder and only ~2 weeks ago, someone found the mathematical way to find diamonds in rivers and swamps (swamps never work for me btw) Or chunkbase owner was able to extract the world generation from minecraft.jar and just uses it in the backend. In chunkbase website there is no option for pocket edition
I tried using the default (java 1.20) and the seed produced a slightly different map than what i have So, i chose bedrock 1.20 and the map was correct but the coordinates aren't correct I tried to find a ruined portal and the location given by chunkbase was incorrect. Yes, the chunkbase link is safe, and i've used many of the tools on that site
As ironmagus said, it's a great resource
But just for the record, amidst also has nether fortress location capabilities, but it is a program that you need to actually download and run. One of my favorite things to do in minecraft is load up my seed on chunkbase and explore around grabbing buried treasures, shipwrecks, ruined portals and jungle/desert temples. In chunkbase, lush caves biome don't automatically show up like surface biomes do This is because the lush caves can be in the same space as surface biomes and can clog up a large portion of the map when a player just wants to see surface biomes.
I don’t know if this is allowed But i really need to ask, does anyone know of an alternative to chunkbase that can find the dungeon spawners from my world seed
